The reason we like atomizing whole house humidifiers is the riliability and no matainence. These type use cheap oil nozzles to spray a fine mist into the heating chamber. Much unlike the drum type which break down because of motor wear, are high matainence because the drum filter will constantly scale up or even mold and usually will eat at your sheet metal because of the float failing and water spilling over. The Drum type are also expensive and so are the drum filter. We believe that the manufactures that don't make a atomizing humidifier are actually afraid of loosing the good money that they make on the high maintenance drum type and filters.
