The Centurion is probably the best kept secret in HVAC. These furnaces are so efficient that they actually produce water as a by-product and a condensate pump will be sent with every unit purchased.

 

 

 

Most people heat with a warm air Furnace. Efficiency is everything. Most Gas furnaces are about 80% efficient  or less but for a little more money you can have a 92% plus efficient gas furnace. We like the Centurion high Efficiency furnaces. The price is the best in the industry with a 20 year heat exchanger and 5 year parts warranty. We also like its electronic package which easily integrates humidifiers and electric air cleaners. These furnaces have a sealed combustion burner which can have the intake air piped directly from the outside allowing the furnace to be installed in a closet or in many places where other furnaces may not be installed. They are just like all other high performance furnaces such as a Hi- tech tubular aluminized steel primary heat exchanger and a high grade stainless steel 29-4c secondary condensing heat exchanger. Fused 24 volt 40 Volt amp control transformer and blower relay. Multi-speed direct drive motor and fully compatible with air conditioning coils and condensers. Centurion is a furnace produced for the licensed tradesman and is not available on the open market.                                                                                                                                                            We at Energy Savings USA do not like Oil Furnaces. The Efficiency levels do not exceed 82% and because of the high heat oil produces, a furnace will last about 7 years if the heat exchanger is still functioning. We would recommend going with a high efficiency boiler such as the Biasi boiler with a hot water and Air Conditioning air Handler such as Heil's Air Handler. 

 Overall system efficiency will be  improved with a whole house humidifier. Much like the cast iron on a boiler which retains heat better than most materials, moister from a humidifier distributed into a home through your duct work also retains heat and adds much comfort. Considering the Humidity in a home can be as low as 15% (ouch) which is not good for people or houses. Your home should be between 35% - 45% humidity. Home depot sells a Fields brand atomizing humidifier for $99.00 that is very good and highly recommended.
